Partners With Map Link To Provide Warehousing And Inventory ManagementTroy, MI/Santa Barbara, CA-TravelSITE Inc. signed today a multi-year agreement with Map Link to provide fulfillment and warehousing for the Travel SuperStore on TravelSITE.com. "Map Link adds a significant warehousing, fulfillment and product library component to TravelSITE.com and we are excited about this partnership," said Don Reeder, TravelSITE Inc. president. This was by no means an easy task as Brad Frederick, TravelSITE, Inc. vice president, explained: "Our product inventory comes from a number of partners and suppliers and resides in different formats in each of their databases. Our challenge was to merge that inventory on a continuous basis into one system and one format. We did this by creating intelligent data filters that automatically poll for new and changed products to integrate into our TravelSITE database. We can also easily do a complete inventory refresh as needed and integrate new suppliers and product lines." The good news is that it will also mean a much larger and growing product library on the website. "This is important as our goal is to create an increasingly smarter search engine that delivers maps, products, stories and travel booking information from a single search.
