January 7th, 2005: Carole Herdegen of TravelSITE.com To Speak At New Ford Education Center Theater at the Detroit Zoo
Madison Heights, MI... TravelSITE.com announces On Wednesday, February 16, 2005, from 6:00-8:00p.m, Carole Herdegen, editor of TravelSITE will be sharing her around-the-world experiences as an EARTHWATCH volunteer in a photographic and lecture presentation to the Gallery Guide Volunteers, docents and invited guests at the Detroit Zoological Institute. Her presentation will be held in the NEW, 240-seat Ford Center for Environmental and Conservation Education located at the Detroit Zoo, 10 mile road (I-696) and Woodward Ave., Royal Oak, MI.
Carole, who resides in Southeast Michigan, is a photographer, writer, world adventure traveler and a travel correspondent to a nationally syndicated radio program.
Her presentation, titled: "Volunteer Adventuring for a Cause", will acquaint her audience with the EARTHWATCH organization, its mission and how to become involved. She will then describe her experiences on three very different international projects also featuring a photographic study on each.

IMPORTANT
Directions for attendees:
Enter Gate No. 4 (near the zoo’s Administration Building) at 8450 W. Ten Mile Road, the westbound I-696 Service Drive. The guard at Gate 4 will direct attendees to the Ford Center.
- If traveling from the north or south on I-75, simply take Exit 61 to I-696 West and continue west until Exit 16.
- Traveling either east or west on I-696, take Exit 16 for Woodward Avenue, Main Street and the Detroit Zoo.
- The zoo grounds are entered from either Woodward Avenue or Ten Mile Road. A landmark reference is the Detroit Zoo Water Tower. Then, simply proceed to Gate 4.
